Please accept our sincere appreciation for the very thoughtful concern and kind words of encouragement expressed by the international community in relation to the terrible events in Northeast Japan that started with the earthquake on March 11, 2011.

Fortunately, no one involved with the Organizing Committee was directly affected by the disaster, and we are now working even harder to prepare for the coming AOCS Congress in August 2012. As there may be concerns about the situation at the Fukushima nuclear plant, please understand that the congress site, Matsue, is located in the most western part of mainland Japan, more than 600 kilometers away from Fukushima. Therefore, we hope we can reassure you that there is no danger at all with traveling to Matsue.

We are very excited about the conference and look forward to welcoming our guests from around the world for an positive and productive event.

As the 11th Conference of AOFS has been successfully carried out under the strong leadership of Dr. Adimoelja, it is the time to look up toward the next AOFS Conference to be held in the summer of 2012, this time at Matsue City, Japan. On behalf of the sexologists in Japan, we present herewith some invitation words to you so that many of you may be able to travel to Japan.

The Organizing Committee is headed by Dr. Reiko Ohkawa who is an internationally well known gynecologist/ sexologist, and Drs. Nozue, Miyahara and Hatano assist the organization as Vise Presidents. Mr. Shimazaki serves as the Secretary General.
